Flag to mark the starting line
Bearing flag for starting vessel and pin end: Marks one of the ends of the starting line according to the RRS.
In the classic rectangular format in the sizes 60×50 cm or 84×70 cm.
Our flags are “crackle-free” – they are made of high-quality polyester with a matt surface (120g/sqm). For noiseless, easy flying. With loop (top) and ribbon (bottom). Hemmed all around and double stitched. Washable. Made in Europe!
Can it be a little bigger? The flag is also available in XXL format (upright).
Pro Tip 1 (Recommendation): To alert boats that a race or sequence of races will start promptly, the orange starting line flag will be set with an audible signal at least five minutes before the first warning signal.
Pro tip 2: The orange flags on the poles of the starting line markers will be lowered 4 minutes after the start signal (without sound) unless the Race Committee intends to give the announcement signal for the next starting group within ten minutes of the start of the previous starting group.
